Family Visit

Grandpa and Grandma Pope came to visit a few weeks ago and we had a great time playing and relaxing. 

Maddison kept Grandpa extra busy playing, wrestling, and cuddling. Grandpa probably needed an extra long nap once he got home. Thanks for visiting Grandpa and Grandma. Come again soon!

Dinner Time

At dinner in an attempt to get Maddison to eat her food.

Me: “Maddison. Do you know what pirates love to eat? Peas and chicken. Can you eat your peas and chicken like a pirate?”
Maddison: “No. Pirates don’t eat peas and chicken.”
Me: “Oh. What do they eat?”
Maddison: “Chocolate chips.”

Rice Cereal

Sage got to sample her first mushy food today. And of course big sister Maddison wanted to help. 

She thinks she is big enough to fee herself - Steve had a hard time getting the spoon away from her. She seemed to like it okay. I guess after eating this new food she had to sleep it off because she took an unscheduled nap...which is why she and I are now up so late blogging while the rest of the fam slumbers.

...but who could be mad at this face? Seriously.

Daddy's Little Helper

Since Maddison has been spending so much time helping Steve build the fence, I decided she needed a tool belt of her own.

I couldn't find a kid sized tool belt at the store so I upgraded this little pocketed tool belt I found in the adult tool department. I think it does the trick.

Sage Afton

This little one is four months old today. With everything that has happened in the past four months it hardly seems possible she is only that old. She should be a year old! It doesn't help that she is about the same size as her nine month old cousin. We love her so much!
