You can thank me later

I am a lover of dark chocolate but there is bad dark chocolate out there so you have to be careful what you spend your hard earned money on.

Cadbury has come out with Royal Dark Mini Eggs that are in stores now.
So, my fellow Mini Egg lovers, when faced with the decision "Do I go with the standard Mini Eggs that I know are amazing or do I branch out and try these new ones with the possibility of being disappointed?" What are you going to do? They are not cheep, a bad decision could mean major disappointment. For all those Cadbury Mini Egg lovers out there, I have made the sacrifice for you. No need to debate any longer. I have chosen to take the gamble, bought, tasted and have put my stamp of approval on the Royal Eggs. They are just as delightful as the original, perfect little morsels of joy. So go ahead, indulge and enjoy.

Winter Still

More snow this week. It has made me a little gloomy after last week's hint of spring. I was all ready to go biking, climbing, camping...guess I will have to wait a little longer. In the mean time I will listen to Sara Bareilles & Ingrid Michaelson "Winter Song" and dream of sunny days. Click here to listen.

The Seeing Eye Cat

My dear friend Megan just bought an adorable puppy named Stinson. It has made me think about owning a pet myself but I'm not really a dog person. I do like kittens. Kittens, not cats. So how can I own a kitten with out having to eventually own a cat? Why can't there be a seeing eye cat program like there are for dogs? Can't I just adopt a kitten, keep it for a year and then trade it in for a new one? What about a seeing eye duck? There is just nothing cuter than a baby duck.

What is a "cake pop"?

I saw these adorable "cake pops" on someone else's blog and had to try them.

They take for-ev-er to make! but sure are tasty when they are done.

Hippie Happiness.

Steve and I went on an adventure to the Mystic Hot Springs in Monroe, UT last weekend. We knew it was going to be a good trip when the lady we made reservations with warned us "You know, we are kind of a hippie place." Excellent.

Our trip began well when we ran into traffic just south of Utah County due to escaped sheep on the freeway. Another good omen.

We rented a small cabin that used to be an old chicken incubator. It was the only cabin on the property that did not have electricity or heat but we made due with a propane heater we got for Christmas from Steve's parent. With all the holes in the cabin the heater kept the place just above freezing temps. Steve loves the cold so he slept like a rock and I spent the night trying not to become an ice cube.
The springs trickle down from the mountains filling two large pools and a series of bathtubs. The tubs have been there so long that they have melted into the landscape.

Our cute little cabin was right next to a fish pond.

It was so cold, Steve's towel froze solid!

It was a really fun trip and we plan to go back if anyone wants to come. I think in the summer they have concerts there and you can rent out hippie buses to sleep in. Who's in?
