Yellowstone

Steve's parents treated us all to a snow coach ride through Yellowstone the day after Christmas. It was a beautiful steaming winter wonderland.

Snowy Sunday Morning

The truth comes out

Me: "Okay Maddison. Get your shoes on. It is time to go to church."
Maddison: "Are we going to snack-er-meeting?"
Me: " Um, yup. That sounds about right."

A new sewing machine means a new dress for Sage. 

Thanksgiving in Nevada

It took us all day but we finally arrived at Grandma Munk's house in Nevada. Sage was certainly glad to be out of her car seat. 

Maddison made a turkey hat for the occasion.

There were games in the kitchen, dining room and front room. 

There was also plenty of cuddle time.

Grandma took us to the lower valley where her family has farmed for generations. 

It was beautiful and really had this white ethereal feel with dark ominous clouds. 

Maddison loved Grandma's star lamp and had to sleep with it every night.

And then it was back in the car for the long ride home. Thanks to everyone who made this such a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a great time.

Like all of us, Maddison sometimes sings the wrong lyrics to songs. Here are a few:

Birthday Fun

For my birthday we took the family and Grandpa and Grandma Pfost to the Glow exhibit at the museum of Idaho - all about glowing animals. I expected to see tanks of glowing fish and beautiful jellyfish but that was not the case. There wasn't a single live animal so it was a bit of a bust.

But there was a Maddison jelly fish.

And maybe a Dad jelly fish. 

Oh, and a Maddison and Mom fire fly. 

And Steve surprised me with these beautiful flowers  I love them!! I wish this is what my wedding bouquet looked like.  Steve sure knows exactly what I like. It was a great birthday. Thanks for all the well wishes!
