Trip to Mesa Falls

All ready to go.

Egg-citing!

On Sunday we spotted this little guy peeking out from under his mother. Our eggs (I mean the duck's eggs) have finally hatched! 

Mama duck left to go find food in the afternoon so we got a nice peek at the rest of the little guys. They all stayed cozy in their nest. We opened our gate so they could get out to find water last night and this morning they were all gone. They didn't even stop to say goodbye. I was hoping to see the little fuzzies waddling around the back yard but I guess they were anxious to go find food.

Trip to California

Our first stop was Great Grandma Munk's in Nevada.

Then it was to my home town, Martinez, CA to visit family, including Great Grandma Barney. It was fun to watch Maddison enjoy the same things I did as a kid.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium. This is one of my very favorite places to visit.

The beach was a little chilly (when is it not?) but we had a lot of fun anyway.

This is what happens when you try to leave the beach before Sage is ready to go. 

And of course it was hard to say good by to Great Grandma Barney but we had a good visit with her.
