More Birthday Fun!

On Sunday we celebrated Maddison's birthday (a day early since Steve was going to be out of town on her birthday) and Grandpa and Grandma Pfost joined us.

With the dress and the Frozen microphone she was ready to BE Anna.

She wanted a fruit pizza that looked like a watermelon for her birthday treat.

On her actual birthday I had a few surprises for her.

And she even woke up looking a little like Anna with her crazy messy hair.

Then we joined Grandma and Grandpa Pope in Jackson Hole for a few days so of course we had to celebrate again!

Sage got to celebrate this time too.

Oh, we had so much fun! Thanks everyone for helping us celebrate our girls! Now we get to do it again in a week for Sage.

Maddison's 4th Birthday Party

Maddison chose to have a butterfly cake for her birthday.

She had some friends over and we made "bug-noculars" and then searched for bugs in the backyard. There were also presents, a few games, bubbles and of course cupcakes!

More San Diego Fun!

We spent half a day exploring Balboa Park and its museums. Above is the Botanical Gardens which we didn't get to it but it looked beautiful.

Air and Space museum.

Japanese Tea Garden.

Model Train Museum.

And we finally made it to the San Diego Zoo!

Maddison pretending to be a sleeping koala bear.

Monkey Face!

On our way home we got to spend some time at Aunt Kathleen's and played on her wiggle cars with cousin Ty.

Sage liked them too.

Lego Land

Lego Land was full of rides perfect for Maddison and a few that were perfect for Sage too.

And there were plenty of Lego creations to admire. Here is the San Francisco skyline.

And we had to try the apple fries.

And then it was sleepy time after a long day of playing. I think she might be dreaming of eating more apple fries.

San Diego Beach

On our first evening in San Diego we wanted to check out the beach, with no intention to swim of course, just look and maybe play in the sand a little. I should have known I wasn't going to be able to keep the girls out of the water. Our hotel was right inside a small bay so we had a calm, no wave beach perfect for the littles.

Eventually we made it back with our swim suits and mermaid tail fins.

Our hotel offered free one hour sunset boat cruises in the bay. That sounded relaxing and romantic...

The girls were great for a few minutes and then they just wanted to run around wreaking havoc on all. The only thing that saved us was the dance party that started on the second floor. Maddison danced all her wiggles out while the music drowned out Sage's crying. Iv'e never been so happy to see a disco dance party.

its a little dark but hopefully you can get the idea,
