Moose Tracks...and not the ice cream.

This morning I spotted another set of moose tracks around our house but I missed seeing the actual  moose. We did see this guy down the street a few days ago.

 Notice how her sleeve only goes half way down her arm...that is the norm. Maybe she will be a volley ball setter.

Sometimes when I check on Maddison before going to bed, this is how I find her: with her little bum sticking up in the air. It takes a lot of will power to not give it a little squeeze.

Latest Projet

I decided Maddison needed a mobile in her room so I put together this using embroidery hoops, string, and some felt. I used tiny clothes pins to hang the items from the string so I can switch them out for variety.

 

 

I hope she likes it...but not too much. I still need her to nap.

Maddison loves to empty things out and disorganize anything that looks like it is suppose to be organize so I always keep a basket stocked with toys for her to dump out, a pile of burp cloths in her bedroom to throw around, and this cupboard open so she can toss out all the baby food. Sometimes she even finds the bag of rice and tub of honey in the back if she crawls in deep enough. I might have to equip her with a head lamp soon.

Curling 101

Steve's work hosted a curling event last weekend so we got a babysitter and spent a few hours clumsily learning the sport. We had a lot of fun.

Maddison dropped a toy she was playing with while seated and strapped into her rocker chair but that didn't stop her from trying to retrieve it.

 

 

 And this is where she got stuck and where Mom came to the rescue...but only after I took this photo and giggled a little bit.

For the Grandparents

Heat Wave

Our weather has been quite nice lately. Last Saturday we enjoyed 20 degree weather which was warmer than some parts of Utah and Idaho - sorry parents. We decided to take advantage of the warmth and go snowshoeing while Maddison stayed with a (non-family) babysitter for the first time. She did pretty good. We are starting to get a little antsy and looking for ways to get outside and daydreaming about sunny beaches and warm weather. The next three and a half months are going to be loooong.

 

Coat Rack

There is an old cabin on the property where Steve's works which is scheduled for demolition. We rescued some of the wood and made this coat rack for our laundry room. Now we are brainstorming what else we can make before all the awewsome wood is hauled off. Any suggestions?
