This weeks project

This week we are watching hair grow. I might even let her give this little egg a hair cut but I don't want to give her any ideas about giving herself a cut, or Sage...although Sage would probably benefit from a trim.

Easter Dresses

The girls finally got to wear their Easter dresses on Sunday.

Trying to get them both to look at the camera at the same time was pretty much impossible. This is the best I could do.

Easter 2015

The Easter Bunny had no trouble finding our house this morning.

"Can I eat just one more piece of candy?...Can I eat just one more? Just one more? Just...?"

"Uh, where's the chocolate?"

Cinnamon Roll bunnies for breakfast. They were not so scary looking once I smothered them with cream cheese frosting.

Then we went to Grandpa and Grandma Pfost's for a delicious dinner, a little conference watching, a little game playing and a little Easter egg hunting. We all had a great time playing with Aunt Kelly too. Sage's nap schedule coincided perfectly with both sessions and Maddison stayed decently occupied so I think I saw more of conference this weekend than I have since Maddison was born.  What a treat! Put that in an egg!

I enjoyed all the conference talks. Especially Elder Holland's when he reminded us why we celebrate Easter. “So today we celebrate the gift of victory over every fall we have ever experienced, every sorrow we have ever known, every discouragement we have ever had, every fear we have ever faced—to say nothing of resurrection from death and forgiveness for our sins.” What an inspiring and beautiful reminder of what our Savior has done for us. Happy Easter.

Hoppy Easter!

Happy Easter from a little bunny.

Weekend fun

We spent a very quick weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Pope for a little Easter fun.
In the morning we had bunny pancakes.

Grandma and Maddison dyed Easter eggs.

*sigh*

The all cousin Easter egg search and recover task force.

All that egg hunt practice at home really paid off!

The spoils.

And while we all ate candy and enjoyed a campfire picnic, Sage ate leaves.

It was a great trip and I'm not sure we could have packed any more fun in. We only wish we could have stayed longer

Maddison tells a joke.

Mom "Look Maddison! A jelly fish."
Maddison "No, I think it is a jam fish. Ha ha!"

"Mom, can you help me get my shirt on?"

Cute sisters.

Thank you Craig's List!

For months we have been searching Craig's List for a swing set for the girls. We were looking for something cool, at a good price, and local. We finally found just what we were looking for...or perhaps even a little better than we had imagined.

That's one happy girl.

This week's project

Trenching for a sprinkler system.

Lunch break ...and notice that fine looking deck Steve built.

Maddison loves digging in the dirt. We will have to leave her a patch of dirt so she will always have a place to dig.

Stay tuned! Something BIG is coming to our backyard this weekend. Photos to come.

This is what we do

Despite the 20 degree weather, Maddison insisted on getting bundled up so she could go play in the tiny skiff of snow we got yesterday. She was so sad when I told her there wasn't enough snow to build a snow castle.

Meanwhile, Sage was up to her usual antics finding tiny spaces to crawl into and getting stuck.

Easter Dresses Are Done

Sage's Dress.
You can't see it in this photo but there is a pretty little silver thread that runs through the skirt material.

Sleeve detail.

Maddison's skirt. She already gets to wear her skirt since she was desperate for a new Sunday outfit. I'm not sure what happened but all her other dresses have recently shrunk :-) and are now too short. Sage will have to wait to wear hers.

All Terrain Baby

Sage's new favorite thing to do is find things to use to help her stand up. She is still army crawling around (super speedily) but yesterday I saw her do a real crawl. She loves to crawl over things (pillows, table legs, mom and dad legs) and under things (kitchen chairs, church chairs, tunnels made from your legs). She is our all terrain baby.

Conservationist at heart

I have explained to Maddison that we need to keep the lights turned off to save electricity. Today I went into her room to reopen the blinds she had closed to give her room some light and she growled at me in frustration and then said, "Mom, I was saving electricity!"
