Now it just needs to be installed. I will leave that up to Steve while I work on other things...

This is our new couch but I don't love the pillows it came with so I'm unstiching them and sewing on new fabric. I'm a little nervous to be dismantling our new, expensive  couch so wish me luck. Fingers crossed I don't mess it up. I'll post photos when it is done. 

Surprise

We were surprised at lunch today when floats started showing up outside our windows. 

Apparently the high school down the street was holding its homecoming parade and it started right in front of our house. 

And when there are floats parked in front of your driveway filled with high school kids, and there is a cute kid waving at you, there is lots of candy to be had. 

Lots.

We went to the Idaho State Fair last week and had a great time.

We ate lots of food including a fried Twinkie, fried cheese curds, and a fried tiger's ear (scone). 

Maddison milked a cow and then got some chocolate milk for her labors. 

This pony ride only lasted about 2 minutes before she was ready to get off.

Night cap

I always check on Maddison before going to bed. The other night I discovered she had gotten out of bed to put on a hat before falling asleep...and it was not a cold night.

Moving In

Maddison was a big help pulling all the paper out of the boxes and then stuffing it all back into the empty boxes. There was a lot of paper. I think the movers got a little over zealous with the paper.

As always, Sage just liked to watch.
