Denali

For the Labor Day weekend we decided to keep up tradition and go to Denali National Park. The last two times we have gone on this weekend the colors were amazing and the weather a bit cold but beautiful. This year we had rain. We spent most of our time enjoying Denali from our car.

 

 

 Strangely enough the colors had not changed much and it was foggy and a bit dismal.

 

We did see a few moose.

As amazing as the vast landscape is at Denali, I find the smaller details to be just as amazing and even more wondrous.

The ground is a spongy carpet of tiny plants and soft moss. It is fun to walk on and even more fun to investigate.

 

Despite the rain, it was nice to get away for a day.
