Mystery Solved

I was transferring wet clothes from the front loading washer to the dryer when I noticed something pink sticking out of this thin crack in the washer. There is a large rubber gasket around the inside of the washer opening that helps seal the door shut. I pulled it back to find a large space under the gasket and found 10 of Maddison's socks inside! The washer really did eat her socks! I never would have found them if one hadn't been sticking out a little. Happy day!

Easter Peeps

We took Maddison to see all the little chicks at the Alaska Feed Co. today. She was super nervous.  She clung to Steve and wouldn't let go.

 

 But she warmed up to them a little by the end. Those little chicks are so cute.

It's snot easy being sick.

We have had a few loooong nights and days lately with a sick baby and found out last night she has an ear infection. Poor little thing. At least now she is on the road to recovery. Antibiotics, work your magic.

...and so it begins

This was my sock selection for Maddison this morning. 5 socks without a match in the bunch. Good thing we had some white socks in the dryer. But seriously...where did the other 5 socks go?

This morning I spotted another set of moose tracks around our house but I missed seeing the actual  moose. We did see this guy down the street a few days ago.

Sometimes when I check on Maddison before going to bed, this is how I find her: with her little bum sticking up in the air. It takes a lot of will power to not give it a little squeeze.

Latest Projet

I decided Maddison needed a mobile in her room so I put together this using embroidery hoops, string, and some felt. I used tiny clothes pins to hang the items from the string so I can switch them out for variety.

 

 

I hope she likes it...but not too much. I still need her to nap.

Maddison loves to empty things out and disorganize anything that looks like it is suppose to be organize so I always keep a basket stocked with toys for her to dump out, a pile of burp cloths in her bedroom to throw around, and this cupboard open so she can toss out all the baby food. Sometimes she even finds the bag of rice and tub of honey in the back if she crawls in deep enough. I might have to equip her with a head lamp soon.
